the good:* complementary travel to Lashi Lake and Shuhe town* complementary breakfastthe bad:* the hot water is NOT hot, only luke warm at the best of times - they claimed that 33 degrees C is acceptable* a hole was torn in the bed sheet when I arrived and somehow was not discovered by housekeeping* internet went down after my first night, the hotel did not keep guests up to date with what was happening, by the time I checked out after my second night it still wasn''t working* too noisy - all rooms look out onto a central courtyard/garden with some kind of a restaurant or function room - if you want to get to sleep before 10 PM then don''t bother, shouting voices from the courtyard and the corridors will keep you awake* payment for my stay was demanded in advance, at check in, which is unusual, along with a 100 Yuan deposit (by itself not unusual in China)

用户17****对丽江古城竹苑酒店 点评
This hotel is conveniently located in the Old Town, with easy access to taxis. It is a courtyard style with rooms arranged along a covered walkway around a central square, and tables and chairs in the walkway outside the rooms. Staff were friendly and tried hard to help, but only one spoke English. Our room had a feeling of cold and damp. It had no obvious heating, but electric blankets were fitted to the beds. Free fruit and water were provided initially, but was not replenished. The fitted hair dryer was broken; staff were happy to loan us another, but didn''t seem to take action to get the fitted one repaired. or replaced. Breakfast in a small dining room was a fairly basic Chinese style but with toast and eggs cooked to order. In the lobby, there was free internet access, but there was only one terminal and this was also used by staff. At 270RMB, including breakfasts, this hotel is overpriced. We moved to a cheaper hotel a few metres away, which was more comfortable and had the benefit of a free internet terminal in the room for 180RMB without breakfast..
