New Harbour Serviced Apartments When we first arrived, we were given a room on the 6th floor. The hotel is in a noisy area, so my wife asked for a room on a higher floor, and they were nice enough to move us to the 19th floor. Still noisy, but that is life in the big city. Very good location, around the corner to Dashijie subway stop. Walked to Yu Gardens and the Bund and Shanghai Museum and People''s square and East Nanjing Rd. shopping area. Staff pretty indifferent in the couple of occasions we needed to converse, but they did speak English. Did not use the facilities or eat breakfast there so can''t comment. Wonderful bakeries in the area to eat at in the morning! Did have to rent cooking equipment for 10 yuan a day, which seemed kind of strange, but OK. Kitchen had a water jug dispenser for hot and cold water, which was convenient. The coffee packets are considered part of the mini-bar, 5 yuan each. Instead went down to the supermarket in base of building and bought my own. Internet access is free, although they do everything to make it appear that you will have to pay. All in all, for a good location in one of the largest cities in the world, you can''t beat around $100 a night for basically a 1 bedroom apartment!

July 16 2011 good value for money. took a 2 bedroom apartment. quite decent - nothing fancy but comfortable.normally kitchen is a waste on space. rarely people cook food. would have been useful to have 2 washrooms instead.location is very convenient - 10 mins walk to bund. 100 mtrs from metro station.
